Make-up Inspiration

For Bianca's part, as she's wearing a feathered mask, we want the attention to be drawn to her eyes. Therefore, our initial idea is for her to have nude/beige lips. Here's an image of the look that we want to achieve.

Costumes

Here are some costume ideas for the dancers in the video

Studio

After deciding against the Barnet studio, we searched online for other studios to see if any were suitable.

I emailed The Light Studios with this email:

They replied with this:

With the 10% student discount, this will bring the total for 8 hours to £148.50. So far, this is the best offer we have found and the price includes all the equipment listed on their website.

Location Pictures #1 - Peace and Light Studio (Barnet)

Pictures from the location reccy of the studio in Barnet.

Unfortunately, this is not the look that we were going for. Looks like we're going to have to research some more studios.

Inspiration

We are taking some inspiration from this music video because it has the same sleek and urban feel that we want to recreate. It has been filmed totally in a studio and has sexy female extras in it which are two concepts we want to include in the music video

Likes: using social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, going out to clubs, shopping
Favourite Music Genre: RnB, Hip-Hop, Pop
Consumption of Music: Radio (Choice and Capital), and watching music video on Youtube

Likes mainstream music because that the music that she regularly hears at clubs hence she feels that she needs to be caught up on all the latest music by watching the Charts and listening to mainstream radio. Likes music that she can dance to, and where there's an easy chorus to learn so she can sing-a-long too.

Is a fan of unsigned artists as he believes that the songs are more lyrically-rich and that the passion from the music artists is shown as being stronger and clearer. Doesn't like mainstream music because he think that they are too influenced by what the record label want.

Marketing Plan

The majority of our marketing plan will be online through websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
The artist has accounts which are frequently updated this allows audience to follow or join and become fans.
Here, we are able to target our core audience and they will have the opportunity to pass on messages and share anything they wish with their friends and anyone online.
The music video of the single will be on youtube further promoting the song and attracting audiences.

We plan to create an artist website which will contain all information for audiences such as release dates for the new single, news on the artist, videos and recent photos.

Also an advert  further promoting the artist and single in magazines.

First Group Meeting

Today we had our first group meeting. We searched and discussed potential tracks and pitched our ideas to each other.

We have narrowed down our ideas to a couple of tracks and are thinking of pros and cons of each.

We currently have our number one track which is She's My by Knyt.

We think this track has good potential and if all works out, we think we could make a successful music video.
